UX captured my attention (and possession of my body) when I was a young designer. After hearing and reading feedback from user testing, I quickly realized design wasn’t simply about aesthetics. It was as much about continuity and intuitiveness, usability and interaction. Once I understood this, my entire approach to design quickly changed. “Elegance” became as influential to the interface as it was to the visual appeal. This was an important lesson to learn. And I’m glad it happened early in my career.
